“When you’re building a room, you’re building character, and character is the strength and wisdom of a home.”
– Rose Tarlow
To show just how passionate he is about art, the owner of this 160 square meter apartment aspired to live in a space that balances the richness of a museum with the comfort of home.
To achieve art integration into the open-spaced apartment, the interior was transformed into a gallery-style reveal base, creating a variety of art-displaying opportunities.
The keystone of the house is a massive floor-to-ceiling display installation, with floating shelves showcasing unique works of art highlighted with indirect beams of light. Precious collectibles were artfully dispersed in every corner of the house, and every wall was beautifully designed to shine with art and personality.
Throughout the rooms, creative displays were paired with smart space-saving designs to maximize storage capabilities and accentuate the feeling of comfort.
The structural column was hand-painted with abstract patterns to blend in the creative experience of the house. The antique art deco furniture collection was meticulously chosen to enrich the artistic feel of the house while bestowing a homey atmosphere, reminiscent of hotel lounges.
