How much of our true self does the mirror reflect? Beneath the polished image lies a complex entanglement of fears, emotions and conflicts that are struggling to be released. Though challenging, the tough task of diving into what ails our soul ends on a peaceful note and a polished image inside out.

Underlying Struggles is about this personal exploration we take on the road to discovering ourselves. The base of the aluminum structure, lacquered in polished white is an interconnected network, echoing the underlying struggles that populate our psyche. As we begin clearing our issues, the roads entangle and unite to form a polished version of our true self, embodied by the aged brass top.
