Welcome to Little Kite. Located in the old town of Tyr, Little Kite is a guesthouse that offers beautiful views of seashore and will be your home away from home in the South of Lebanon.
The two hundred years old building, which goes up three stories underwent a thorough renovation that lasted six months. Everything was taken care of; sanitary and plumbing were all replaced with new material; tiles were salvaged and upcycled; and the stone cladding covering the building from outside was all restored, bringing a new life to the house.
Once the space was ready, the team moved on into creating this “home away from home” feeling within the walls. Each one of the 3 bedrooms shines in its own characters, with unique colors and themes, all keeping with the maritime atmosphere. The bathrooms are fitted with beautiful accessories that complement the rooms and the kitchen was remodeled to fit guests’ needs and provide an efficient service area for the space. The living area, brightened with blues and a touch of reds, is furnished with upcycled and vintage furniture, all renovated by the studio, each piece telling its own story. On the walls hangs a big collection of unique paintings by Marwan Nahle complementing the special and artistic feel of Little Kite. And, as a special treat and signature, Arabic calligraphy by Ghaleb Hawila adorns the doors to ground that oriental feel of the place. Finally, the rooftop is a vibrant lounge where you can fully enjoy all the beach’s relaxing vibes while sipping on your drink or just spending time with loved ones.
“I always say; A piece of art, a piece of my heart and this particularly true of Little Kite. In my own town, I created a home away from home for all to experience the beautiful lifestyle of Tyr, as I have my whole life. It is indeed a piece of my heart,” concluded Wael Farran, lead designer and founder of Wael Farran Studio.
